Researchers at Georgetown University MedicalCenter have found evidence that the processing of music and language depends on the same brain systems. According to the study's principal investigator, Michael Ullman, Ph.D., professor of neuroscience, psychology, neurology, and linguistics, "researchers had found that the processing rules rely on overlapping frontal lobe structures"
Simply put, there is a science behind why it is easier to teach young language learners through music. Teaching kids the Filipino language is no different, we have a lot of songs for kids that can be used for this purpose.
